FAST FUEL TAG
The problem statement concerns the longer waiting time at fuel pumps due to the increase in the usage of credit cards and digital payments.
This is the problem which we are facing from so many years.
- More people use credit cards to make payments at fuel stations
- The time taken for the transaction process has increased, leading to delays and longer queues.
- There are instances where the card processing machines are not available and in some instances even due to network issues are causing further inconvenience to customers
Implementing RFID Technology Into Fuel Stations
The idea proposed is to implement Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in fuel pumps to streamline the fuel process, reduce waiting time, and enhance fuel management.
- This technology will enable users to attach an RFID tag to their vehicles, which can be scanned by fuel station operators to initiate the fuel process.
- The RFID tag will contain all the necessary information, including the user's account details, wallet balance and fuel type
- Once scanned, the operator will enter the amount and fill the fuel.
- Money will be debited from the user wallet and credited to the fuel operator.
